The HP114-K3 can be used for on/off and control of gases or liquids. With the R-PTFE soft seat, the maximum operating temperature is 230°C; with the Inconel metal seat, it is 600°C.

  2. Media on/off and control in fire-safe process lines

The HP114-K3 is suitable for media on/off and control in process lines with fire-safe design requirements. The fire-safe design temperature for PTFE or Inconel configurations is up to 200°C, in compliance with BS 6755 Part 2 and API 607 5th Edition.

  3. Medium- and high-pressure industrial fluid pipeline control

The HP114-K3 can be used for control and switching in medium- and high-pressure gas or liquid pipelines. For DN 150 and below, the maximum operating pressure is 40 bar; above DN 150, it is 25 bar.

  4. Gas control in vacuum systems

The HP114-K3 can be used for gas control in vacuum systems, with vacuum applications down to 1 mbar absolute.

Selection points

  1. Double eccentric design

The HP114-K3 features a double eccentric design for on/off or control duty with gases or liquids.

  2. Choice of R-PTFE or Inconel sealing system

Available with an R-PTFE soft seat or an Inconel metal seat; the R-PTFE soft seat is rated for a maximum operating temperature of 230°C, and the Inconel metal seat for 600°C.

  3. Seat leakage class depends on sealing material

The R-PTFE soft seat complies with EN 12266 Leakage rate A; the Inconel metal seat complies with EN 12266 Leakage rate B and ISO 5208 Category 3.

  4. PTFE/Inconel fire-safe design temperature

The maximum fire-safe design temperature for PTFE/Inconel is 200°C, in compliance with BS 6755 Part 2 and API 607 5th Edition.

  5. Vacuum capability

The valve is suitable for vacuum service down to 1 mbar absolute.

  6. Multi-standard flange connection options

Flange connections support the EN 1092 PN series, ASME Class 150/300 and AS 4087 PN 16/21; flange sealing faces support EN 1092 Form A/B and ASME RF, FF.

FAQ

What media and operating conditions is the HP114-K3 high-performance butterfly valve suitable for?

The HP114-K3 is a double eccentric valve for on/off and control duty with gases or liquids. Its operating temperature range is -60°C to +600°C; for vacuum service, it goes down to 1 mbar absolute. The actual applicable range must also be matched to the selected sealing system, valve size and pressure class.

How to choose between the R-PTFE soft seat and the Inconel metal seat for the HP114-K3?

The R-PTFE soft seat has a maximum operating temperature of 230°C and a leakage class of EN 12266 Leakage Rate A; the Inconel metal seat has a maximum operating temperature of 600°C and its sealing performance complies with EN 12266 Leakage Rate B and ISO 5208 Category 3. For higher temperatures, the Inconel metal seat can be selected based on the upper temperature limit; the final choice should also be confirmed against the media, pressure and sealing requirements.

What is the maximum operating pressure of the HP114-K3 at different valve sizes?

For nominal diameters up to DN150, the maximum operating pressure of the HP114-K3 is 40 bar; for nominal diameters above DN150, it is 25 bar. The standard size range of the valve is DN50 to DN600; larger sizes must be confirmed based on actual requirements.

Which flange standards and actuator interfaces can the HP114-K3 be combined with?

The valve flange connection is available with EN 1092 PN10, PN16, PN25 and some PN40 ratings, with PN40 applicable up to DN150; DN200 to DN600 can be matched with EN 1092 PN10, PN16, PN25. ASME Class 150/300 and AS 4087 PN16/21 connections are also available. Flange sealing faces include EN 1092 Form A/B, ASME RF and FF; the top flange complies with EN ISO 5211.

Does the HP114-K3 offer a fire-safe design and suitability for high-frequency operation?

The PTFE/Inconel fire-safe design of the HP114-K3 is rated for temperatures up to 200°C and complies with BS 6755 Part 2 and API 607 5th Edition. The valve is rated as maintenance-free and is suitable for long-term use under high-frequency operation.
